Amber Online Shop
In 1991 Horst Henn and his son Janusz Henn founded a trading company under the name of "Hemis Art Collection". The company's mission was to offer customers a wide variety of works of art by Polish artists. Among them were paintings, sculptures, carvings, crosses as well as decorative art such as glasses and carafes and also lamps, window pictures in Tiffany design. Among the artists were also some Baltic amber masters mainly from Gdansk, who created exquisite jewellery and works of art in connection with natural amber.
This was the basis for an extensive amber collection, which became accessible to visitors as a private amber museum. The Amber Museum has developed into one of the most popular sights in Nuremberg, attracting many visitors from all over the world. A fascinating world of amber has been created in Nuremberg. The Amber Museum presents the most beautiful and valuable ambers from prehistoric times in the exhibition: cut and rough ambers, with inclusions such as plant, insect, air and water inclusions as well as rare stones weighing over 3,000 grams, one of the largest ambers in the world weighs 12,410 grams.
At the same time, the focus of the company shifted to the trade in amber silver jewellery with the brand "Bernstein-Hemis". The amber jeweller has already been successful on the market for more than 30 years and offers its amber customers a very comprehensive range of fancy amber jewellery both directly in its amber shop in Nuremberg and in its amber online shop: www.Bernsteinschmuck.net. Customers also include resellers B2B and tradesmen and jewellers who buy wholesale here.
"Bernstein-Hemis" has developed into one of the largest amber specialists in Southern Germany in over 30 years of existence.
The Bernstein-Hemis team are experienced amber specialists who work both in the company's own amber manufactory in Gdansk, where the amber gems are created in precise manual work, and who look after the customers directly in the amber shop in Nuremberg and in the amber online shop, where the amber trade takes place. At the same time, the Hemis team regularly organises amber exhibitions in several spa clinics, aimed at the clinic's guests.
The name "Bernstein-Hemis" stands for a large selection of noble and exclusive jewellery and art products.
These are developed and manufactured in our own workshops in Gdansk by highly qualified designers, artists and craftsmen. Valuable and precise handicraft is in the foreground. Most pieces of amber jewellery are unique.
