About Bernstein-Hemis
In 1991, Horst Henn and his son Janusz Henn founded a trading company called "Hemis Art Collection". The company's mission was to offer a wide variety of works of art by Polish artists, including paintings, sculptures, carvings, and decorative items such as glasses, carafes, and Tiffany-style lamps. Among the artists were also Baltic amber masters from Gdansk, who created exquisite jewelry and art pieces using natural amber.
This laid the foundation for an extensive amber collection, which became accessible to visitors as a private amber museum. The Amber Museum has grown into one of the most popular attractions in Nuremberg, drawing visitors from around the world. It showcases a fascinating world of amber, presenting the most beautiful and valuable pieces from prehistoric times: cut and rough ambers, with inclusions such as plants, insects, air, and water, as well as rare stones weighing over 3,000 grams. One of the largest ambers in the world weighs 12,410 grams.

Over the years, the focus of the company shifted to trading in amber silver jewelry under the brand "Bernstein-Hemis". For more than 30 years, the amber jeweler has been successful in the market, offering a comprehensive range of unique amber jewelry both directly in its Amber Shop in Nuremberg and in its Amber Online Shop (www.Bernsteinschmuck.net). Customers include resellers (B2B), tradesmen, and jewelers who purchase wholesale.
Bernstein-Hemis has established itself as one of the leading amber specialists in Southern Germany. The team consists of experienced amber experts who work both in the company's own manufactory in Gdansk, where amber gems are crafted by hand, and directly in the Amber Shop in Nuremberg, as well as the online shop. The team also regularly organizes amber exhibitions in several spa clinics, aimed at the clinic's guests.
